From the restoration of family relationships to regaining strength from anxiety, fear, and the low points in life; from experiencing physical healing through prayer to people who didn't know how to pray before starting to learn to pray for others—these are not stories we imagine, but real experiences that have happened in the lives of our brothers and sisters around us.
Our Story
Arise Church was founded by a group of brothers and sisters in the Greater Boston area. In 2022, God called them to begin Chinese church ministry in Lexington, MA. Thanks be to the Lord for His guidance; since the beginning of our meetings, many Chinese have received grace and baptism in our services, and God has bestowed various miracles and wonders upon us. Many have experienced renewal and help in their lives, and their family relationships have been healed and transformed. The name Arise originates from God's revelation that the Chinese should rise up and work for the Lord.
At the end of 2023, we began to connect with the Bread of Life Church in Taiwan , and in the fall of 2024, we officially became a branch church, working together to let more Chinese people know Jesus.
In April 2024, we began renting the venue at Grace Chapel Lexington to start formal church meetings.
Thanks be to the Lord, the church staff are currently serving in part-time positions (having full-time jobs and actively participating in service).
Church Pastor Profile
Ethan came to the West Coast of the United States to study in 2006 and became a Christian. After graduating from university in 2009, he was called by God to come to Boston and served God full-time at a student church in Harvard Square, leading dozens of young people to Christ. In 2012, through God's calling and guidance, he miraculously entered the engineering school of an Ivy League university and completed his doctoral degree at the end of 2014. He now works in the field of AI at a large high-tech company.
Since becoming a Christian, Ethan has led hundreds of people to Christ and has over 10 years of experience in discipleship training and pastoring churches.
Declaration of Faith
We believe in the one true God, and that through the redemption accomplished by His beloved Son Jesus Christ on the cross, our sins are forgiven and we receive eternal life.
We believe that the Holy Spirit still works today, pouring out and filling believers, bestowing various spiritual gifts and abilities, equipping the church so that believers can serve God, build up the church, and bless others.
We believe that the guidance and help of the Holy Spirit enable Christians to know and live out the truth of the Bible more deeply, and to respond to and live out God's calling in their lives.
We believe in the great commission entrusted to us by the Lord Jesus Christ: to proclaim the gospel, to make disciples of the Lord, and to bring the gospel to all nations.
